What should I wear?Arriving at the Tongass National Rainforest you should expect chilly, wet temperatures. The average temperature in July is 64 degrees fahrenheit. You may get wet, dirty or dusty, so dress appropriately. Closed toe shoes are required. We Provide Rain Ponchos. Additional sweatshirts are available for purchase in our gift shop.

Will there be photos?Yes, professional photos are available for purchase on zip drives at the end of your tour.

Should I bring a backpack?You are more than welcome to. If you have necessities such as medications, cameras or personal belongings you wish to bring, a guide will be able to help you secure your pack into a vehicle.

Are we going to see wildlife?Although we can't guarantee wildlife sightings, animals such as deer, eagles and bears may be seen while on tour.

Can my child drive?All drivers must have a valid driver’s license. Licensed drivers under the age of 18 must have a licensed legal guardian with them in the vehicle.

Can I drive my own vehicle?Tours are sold by the seat. You may be asked to be paired up with another guest depending on the current capacity of the tour. There is a halfway point on the tour where there's a chance to switch drivers.

I'm Pregnant, have a neck / back injury; should I still go on this tour?"Those who are pregnant, have a neck / back injury, may want to rethink this tour as the trail system is un-paved and consists of bumps and turns.

Should I carry cash?There is no ATM available on site and gratuities are welcomed for a job well done.

Should I bring a Backpack?You are more than welcome to. If you have necessities such as medications, cameras or personal belongings you wish to bring, you are more than welcome to bring. Keep in mind that the less you bring on the zodiac the better as this can help mitigate any belongings that may fall into the ocean. There are cubbies on site where a manager watches over all stuff.

Can my child drive?All drivers must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver's license.

Can I have my own boat?With a limited number of boats per tour, the amount of people per boat will be different. All zodiacs can hold up to 6 passengers. Groups of 2 may be paired up. There are multiple points on the tour in which drivers can switch.
